Restoring Backups
The normal use of the Restore feature is to recover from going live with undesired content. Updates Anytime keeps 2 kinds of backup for each page's content:
Previous Version
This is the content as it was just before you clicked Go Live the last time.
Original
The original version was set when we added Updates Anytime to your web site, and will remain that way unless we change it for you.
How to Restore
Find the page with the undesired content. Click the Restore button. Review the Previous Version that is presented. If it's okay, click the Restore Backup button.
If the Previous Version is not acceptable, click the Restore Original choice, then click the Restore Backup button.
After restoring, you can edit as usual.
Alternate Page Versions
Sometimes a page will need a change that must be reversed a short while later. Inventory notices, sale prices, closeouts or summer store hours could require a temporary change. For a quick and easy return to the page the way it was before the temporary change, you can restore the Previous Version.
For example, suppose Brand X Widgets go on sale every other month. The first time they go on sale, the page is updated to reflect that and the previous version (not on sale) is saved as a backup. To return Brand X Widgets to the normal price, simply restore the backup of the previous version. Then, the following month, restore that previous version to make the go on sale again.
