About Edit View
Edit View lets you change your page content by editing it as if it were in a word processing program.
What You Can Do In Edit View
You can edit the text in your page, change or add headlines and paragraphs, bold or italicize, and apply styles. You can add or change photos and captions, even place several photos side by side. You can add or change information arranged in tables, including adding or removing rows or columns. You can insert links to other pages, links to sound or video files, or links to .pdf documents. You can paste content in from Word documents or web pages, then edit as usual. You can search your document for a certain word, globally search and replace, and spell check the entire content (with replacement suggestions). You can zoom in your view of the page, preview it without the editing buttons, or see it as raw HTML. You can right-click on photos or tables and change their properties.
What the Buttons Do
The Exit button takes you back to the normal page view without saving your changes. The Save Draft button saves your changes as a draft which can then be reviewed later by you or a colleague before it goes live.
Remember that drafts are not saved automatically. Most people save their draft frequently so as to prevent losing their work if their Internet connection should go down. You can always start editing your draft again by clicking the Edit Draft button.
