About Draft View, Locked
If the Edit Draft, Delete Draft and Go Live buttons in your draft view are disabled (grayed out), the page is locked for editing by someone else. This prevents multiple editors from overwriting each other's work.
What You Can Do In Draft View When the Page is Locked
The only thing you can do when the page is locked in draft view is read it.
If you want to edit the page or go live with the draft, you must unlock it or ask the other editor to save his or her changes.
Unlocking the Page
When a page is locked, the Unlock button appears in the Updates Anytime button bar. Also, the Edit button is disabled. A LOCKED message tells you who has the page open for editing and how long ago they made their last change.
To unlock the page, first contact the editor who has it locked for editing. If they are still working on the page, coordinate your efforts. If the page has remained locked for a long time, and the editor clearly is not still working on it, just click the Unlock button.
Pages can remain locked if an editor should close the browser while editing. Please make sure you either save your changes as a draft or exit from the edit view to keep the page unlocked for other editors.
